National Junior Beta Club

Who we are

The National Beta Club is the largest independent, non-profit, educational youth organization in America. And for more than 80 years, it has prepared today's students to be tomorrow's leaders.

Mission: To promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, service and leadership among elementary and secondary school students.

ACHIEVEMENT - Recognizing and honoring high academic achievement
CHARACTER - Preparing young people for life and empowering them to be successful.
LEADERSHIP - Developing the leaders of tomorrow
SERVICE - Demonstrating our motto: Let Us Lead by Serving Others

Want to join Beta?

Qualifications:

1. Must maintain a 90% or higher overall average each marking period.

Once a student has joined, grades will be checked each marking period. Students will submit a grade verification form at the end of each marking period- see in documents/links. Failure to maintain a 90% or higher will result in academic probation. If the student has not improved after two marking periods they will be removed from Beta.

2. Must not have any behavior referrals.

3. Must demonstrate: character, leadership, dedication, citizenship, and loyalty to the community and to the school through 20 volunteer hours per year.

4. Must attend at least 4 meetings per semester.
